About This Project

Conna and Lee didn’t want a wedding, they wanted a FESTIVAL… and so, this was our concept.  Everything was laid back and relaxed; the ceremony set up simply a few rows of seats for VIPs and standing room at the rear.  A rustic archway with buffalo skull made it clear this was no typical wedding.  Conna gave her guests an all-white dress code so wanted florals that really popped. For the reception, a seated dinner was an absolute no-no.  Instead, we worked with our catering team to design a menu which would work as a collection of food zones which we located around the venue grounds.  Guests were given a small map showing where they would find the different cuisines ranging from Mediterranean antipasto on the villa’s terrace to the Chinese dumpling house at the pool bar.  We continued the festival theme with bright Thai throws and building pallets to create picnic style seating in the garden.  Thai throws also transformed the pool deck into a colourful centre stage, where the guests gathered to enjoy the speeches and sparkling toasts before they were encouraged to roam wild and free around the villa grounds and discover the culinary offerings.  Of course entertainment had to be a BAND.  And a huge firework display added the extra rock and roll factor… as if it needed any more!
